Two Prenatal Visits
For your prenatal visits, I typically come to your home so you don't have to travel. I love meeting your partner and any children or pets you have. I bring a goodie bag with teas and electrolytes so we can ensure you are staying well hydrated. We discuss your birth plan, fears, postpartum boundaries and expectations, answer questions, practice comfort measures and labor positions so everyone feels prepared. It's important to me that we connect so that when you go into labor, we all feel comfortable together so I can best support you both.
Your Birth
I am on call for you 2 weeks before your due date and 2 weeks after. I join you during your labor when you are ready for additional support, whether that's at your home or the hospital. I am very intuitive and can easily assess how to best support you whether that's physical touch, words of encouragement or just dimming the lights and providing food and water. I love taking photos for you during during labor and birth if that's something you're interested in. I stay with you throughout your entire labor and 1-2 hours afterwards to ensure you and baby are settled. I also can assist with the initial breastfeeding support if you wish.
Postpartum Visit
When you feel ready for me to come over for your postpartum visit, I arrive with nourishing food & drinks. My job is to check in on your mental, physical and emotional health and provide the appropriate resources and reassurance that you're doing a beautiful job. We typically recap the birth and everyones experience to help piece the story together and touch base about how nursing is going. Oh and of course gaze at the beautiful baby you just brought into the world. My goal is leave you feeling loved, supported and confident in your maternal instinct to continue caring for yourself and your baby.
